Similarly, if you’re an elected official not voting one way or another or not standing up for your constituents because you are scared or threatened, you should step aside and let someone else with courage step up.
Also if you’re unwilling to be confrontational with powerful people you just should not be a journalist. You aren’t cut out for it.

The country wants a wealth tax on assets.

They're panicking because "won't the rich just leave" has been utterly debunked.

They've got no actual argument.

Yesterday my daughter asked me why you have to buy something in a cafe if you want to sit in one. And I explained about how businesses work. And she asked 'what if you're old and want to sit somewhere warm?' You think anyone in government right now is thinking about where old people go to sit down?

My landlord evicted me during the pandemic. Anyway we both work in the same small industry that centres around a mailing list you basically have to be on to operate. Guess who's an admin. Guess who just applied to join. Guess who just got silently rejected.

Many people on socmed responding to the Farage racism story with ‘We all said things like that in the 70s’. If you did, you’re one of those who made my childhood miserable much of the time. And if you have no remorse, face facts: you’re (still) a racist.
