It does, but Hegseth is claiming he misspoke. He issued a clarification that it will just be a joint training base (similar to how we do with Singapore and NATO nations) that’s fully under US control.

Not sure why he announced it as a literal Qatari air base, other than he’s a complete dunce.

Given that Grimes has talked about a 'Great Dying', I suspect that they'd like a smaller population base, primarily white, to be around. They're not very rational, and forget that diseases go after EVERYONE if you let them run long enough (and that time varies...)
