I think about this so often. It’s horrible to say, but I genuinely think we’d be better off now if Trump had won 2020. Not because Biden was so awful (he was a mixed bag) but because there were still adults in the room during Trump 45, and he hadn’t yet gone rabid from the taste of losing.
even cooler, if biden had just lost in 2020 trump would have been relatively constrained by the "adults" of his first term, and exiting the stage in 2024 spent and wearing covid inflation and the various wars. letting this fuck off the hook then running again with brain damage made it 100x worse

I feel like I should not have to say this from a country whose government is currently attacking and killing its own citizens because of bigotry, but quick reminder that governing bodies are often wrong and policies rarely line up with ethics or scientific reality.

I can't trust politicians who are anti-trans. Not because I'm "only searching for perfection" which is what centrists will be accusing me of for the rest of my life, it's because if you're not pro-trans you'll be garbage on lots of other issues too. Being anti-trans NEVER exists in a vacuum.
