Basic cliche, goth-adjacent, occasionally bro-ish. Self-help book permanently lodged somewhere uncomfortable.

I don't wish to sound overly harsh, but if you have a "no simultaneous submissions" instruction and also don't send rejection notices, I think you should have to contend with ants in your underwear every single day.

I wrote about my first appointment with the surgical team at the hospital who will eventually do my top surgery, and how I left that appointment feeling disgusted not just with my body but with myself: www.genderbent.co.uk/and-then-the...
And then the doctor drew my boobs
Dysphoria roiled in my stomach and I wanted to scream. Or cry. Or maybe throw up.

The Billion Oyster project uses them as oyster nurseries, and there are ones that double as mangrove planters for mangrove restoration.

Okay, you may say, that’s neat but why did it consume your interest?

I am currently, because I know how to enjoy a Saturday morning, writing some guidance for people on filling this consultation in. As I do several things are highly apparent. Before I go through them though I don't want this to put people off of filling it in. It is important to do so nonetheless. 1/
Government has today published its consultation into "earned settlement", the forward alone contains a hot mess of misrepresentation of the current system by the Home Secretary. I would strongly urge anyone affected by the current system to respond.

I really enjoyed this book- I've been wanting more from Rachel Plummer since rachelplummer.co.uk/wain/, which I have given to younger relations at Christmas. Very much looking to seeing where they go next.

Reproductive rights are inextricably linked to trans rights.
Kathleen Stock has written an article against "abortion permissiveness". She claims abortion requires "justification" saying the state should limit "unacceptable decision-making" by women about their own bodies.

This is who anti-trans activists proclaim as the feminist thought leaders of our time.

Going to a TDoR vigil tonight, and since the quiet space afterwards will apparently have tea and coffee available, hopefully implying hot water, I need to pick up some hot chocolate sachets. And maybe soothing beige snacks. Going to pack my bag for minor emergencies and headaches.

Calling anyone who can read shorthand! I would very much love to know what this method for my grandmother's "Uncooked Chocolate Cake" is! Guessing it's from the 1950s if that helps. (please feel free to share if your network might know shorthand <3)
