if you feel it's messing you up, step away. don't assume it's messing everyone up and you need to eradicate it because you caught a case of the feel-bads from something. go sit with that and think about why instead of pissing in everyone else's cheerios.

I got the impression Armand was the tech-savvy one in that relationship & all the modern devices the penthouse was equipped with had come from him. I love Louis but this man burned a laptop not realising Daniel had the cloud gift too 😂

Louis has one of those brick phones from the 80s, only bc it was a birthday gift from Armand. Lestat crashes out several times a week bc Louis won't text him back and Daniel has to gently remind him those phones don't come with that function (Lestat will immediately forget this information).

I wouldn't say he doesn't take issue, given that part of his stated purpose in becoming a rock star is to start a war between humans & vampires by revealing vampires exist. He's just so frustrated with it that it makes him laugh

Wrt Lestat, he couldn't possibly have known about Bruce w/o Claudia telling him. He claims the train scene never happened, which calls into question whether he found Bruce through the mind gift or had any details about him at all. Plus we don't know what state he was in during/after the trial.

I guess it's possible Louis repressed a lot about Claudia after Paris, bc the grief was just too much to bear. He clearly hasn't read through her diaries until recently, at which point he needed Daniel to help him make sense of what was in there. I could see how he forgot about Bruce's existence.

I don’t think it’s ooc but I *am* surprised by the lateness of it. Claudia showed him Bruce’s face in nola & gave him the name & physical description in Paris. We know Louis had returned to the US after that, so what’s kept him from locating Bruce until now?

Always surprises me in the books just how long some of them can hold a grudge. I can’t fathom a wound from centuries ago, let alone millennia, still feeling fresh enough that you’d actively seek revenge, despite having lived a hundred dozen lifetimes since.
