i gotta say the way people just refuse to learn abt data centers because its a catch anti ai powerphrase pisses me off. not only do we already have an actual problem (worker labor rights) but it has that whole nft thing of "we only care about x thing because its a good argument for a thing i hate"

i think we should host less things on the cloud but more often than not am i more mad at capitalist exploitation of good tech like data centers and the cloud than the tech itself. they can be user friendly, it's just not cost effective to do that

Trump has such a unique visual hook that I think he's going to become a deep part of the human psyche in far-future generations, the same way we feel itchy when we see something that looks like a spider
Trump will be parodied for decades by comedians and satirists, but I can't imagine them coming up with anything more outrageous or disgusting than the way he actually behaves every day in public.

People are talking about Kamala Harris again. Since it's not an election year and there is no Harris campaign (not that there was much of one even DURING the election) I will say I mainly remember Harris as one of many Dems who helped sabotage the Sanders 2020 campaign during the party's own primary
