Want to see how far right the Republican Party has gone?

Watch George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan answer a question about illegal immigration during a 1980 debate.

They wouldn’t even be allowed in today’s Republican Party.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about how Jane Doe - an Epstein survivor - just sued the Bank of New York Mellon for funding Epstein and failing to file a Suspicious Activity Report. A Mellon heir is the one who gave $130M to pay the troops. Seems bribey to me.

The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to acquire TikTok and his family could soon own both Paramount and Warner Bros.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?
Vanity projects that destroy national monuments are gross. Oh, and RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES. #whitehouse

I'm not sure you can get more marie antoinette than taking away food stamps before thanksgiving while you build a gold and marble dance hall so the other crooks can bring bribe you over a badly-cooked (argentinian) steak

Iowa HHS is alerting Iowans who use SNAP that due to the federal shutdown continuing, there is a possibility that November benefits will not be issued.

#Iowa SNAP currently serves approx 131,000 households per month and allocates around 45 million dollars in benefits, which are federally paid.

The first two episodes of the revival of Reading Rainbow have nearly 500,000 views each 🤯

Do you know how cool that is for literacy, for book joy?! We are all worthy of reading, we are all readers 💚

And NOW episode three is out! Take a look, it’s in a book 📚🌈🦋

Prime example of white privilege in plain sight.

Black kids get called adults to justify blame, while white adults get called “kids” to excuse their hate. They’re not boys and girls, they’re grown-ass men and women, and the receipts are in writing.
So… this Venezuela thing is really gonna end up being about oil, right?

Adelita Grijalva won her election to Congress nearly a month ago, but Mike Johnson still hasn't sworn her in. Why the delay? Perhaps it's because Grijalva would cast the final vote needed to release the Epstein files.

I can’t attend my local No Kings protest today, but I’m standing with you all in spirit. Thanks to all who are able to attend and all who support the attendees and the fight to save our country in other ways. #savetherepublic #nokings

Even with insurance, my husband’s Type I diabetes meds and supplies still cost us well over $300/month out of pocket. He has an insulin pump, but the sensors/etc frequently fail, requiring replacements with wait times that require having old-style testing and administering supplies on hand. 2/2
People without insulin dependent diabetics in their families/lives often don’t realize that capping insulin costs is just the tip of the financial iceberg. Test strips are ridiculously expensive for those who use them, insulin pumps, monitors, devices, supplies, are all so pricey. 1/2 #diabetes

This puppy has me outdoors more than indoors, and that is not my natural habitat. Add my general indoorsiness to the fact that fall and harvest allergens in Iowa are peaking, and dang. I don’t want to wish my life away, but I wouldn’t be mad about a frost.
