How fucking DARE the home secretary conflate marching peacefully against a genocide and this despicable terrorist anti-Semitic attack.

We condemn genocide, and we condemn the Manchester attack.

Keep our names out of your mouth, you lowlife www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live...

Good Morning Britain's "counter terrorism policing experts" are axe-grinding ideological propagandists. This is the way to reject the partisan reporting we'll all see so much of in the coming weeks bsky.app/profile/saul...

@zackpolanski.bsky.social is asked about people still protesting against Israels actions in Gaza in the aftermath of yesterdays attack on Jews in Manchester #GMB

Pretty twisted having a weird xenophobic rally using your own damn flag to demonstrate how much you hate migrants.. Like, you supposedly love your flag and country but you're using it as a hate symbol? Where's the genuine passion for your culture in that? Tf

In the wake of disabled people begging our MPs not to cut vital support and the cuts bill passing this is a really great time and opportunity to show MPs what their support or lack of means to us

No I don't want "humane" deportations, for the same reason I don't want "friendly" cops in schools or "understanding" genital inspectors at sporting events.

The problem is the fascism, not that the fascism is rude.

The Final Delivery Plan for ME/CFS has been released today.

The full report was shared with some organisations and media outlets late yesterday. We’re (still) waiting for it to go online.

A short 🧵with some thoughts…

And SSRIs! So common! So many features on this list are incredibly common and not all are well known to cause heat-related issues. Hit your depressed friends up
stefvslife.bsky.social
Want to highlight this point:

ANYONE taking antihistamines (lots of people are, pollen is very high) is at higher risk of heat-related illness.

Please check this thread for advice but make sure you're staying hydrated and keeping as cool as possible

It’s partly because the bill and system is complex, MPs and journos struggled to grasp it. But truthfully, it is largely because PIP cuts are deemed to matter more. Many claimants have jobs! They’re deserving! Click on most news sites and you wouldn’t know there’s a vote tonight.

Two bills have passed recently in Parliament: assisted dying and the welfare bill. In neither of the debates did long Covid or clinically vulnerable people get a mention. How can an estimated 409 million with long covid and 3.2 million in the UK not be relevant? Especially when our government is 🧵

So trans women can't give blood because biologically they are female and have female ranges for everything, but the NHS has decided we are legally male and we must meet male ranges in order to donate?

I want to scream. The science denial around trans people and biological sex is hurting everyone
mintopia.net
🧵 So the latest update from NHS Blood and Transplant. The nurse on the clinical team has spoken to the 'sex assigned at birth' team, and has been told there is no clinical risk to trans women *because* they are using the male donation interval, and male reference ranges. 1/9

Disabled people aren’t the enemy.

Trans people aren’t the enemy.

Immigrants aren’t the enemy.

Stop allowing the fascists to dictate who you’re willing to sacrifice.

Refuse to see anyone as expendable.

We aren’t safe until everyone is safe.

Ableism is one of the most acceptable forms of bigotry.

It’s everywhere. Disabled people are looked down upon by almost all groups in society.

Viewed as “useless eaters” and expendable.

Most people don’t even consider discrimination against us to be “real” discrimination

After govt's 11th hour 59th minute climbdown over PIP it's time for Reeves to go back to the drawing board and look for fairer and more sensible ways to raise money - like a wealth tax on multi-millionaires and billionaires to raise up to £24bn a year
