The government has launched an investigation into “countering foreign influence and interference in UK politics”.

Which is fantastic news but they need to crack on with it now.

It is merely a vexatious claim.

The kind of cynical ploy used by rich and powerful people the world over to shut down any media that dares to expose them and hold them to account.

I think that there is no case to answer. No damage was done to the T.Ts reputation as he was elected POTUS within days afterwards. It was not broadcast in the states only in Britain The BBC were unbelievably stupid in broadcasting it. They apologized. Case closed

After the effort it took responding to that consultation, I hope the government will halt their plans. At the very least, it shouldn't be that people are required to individually opt out of having their work used to train AI. It should be voluntary opt in only.
🚨 The UK government just published a breakdown of the responses to its consultation on AI & copyright:

- 95% of respondents want AI companies to pay for their training data (made up of 88% saying strengthen copyright law, & 7% saying leave it as is)

As it seems abundantly clear the last govt discovered some pretty unpleasant truths about 🇷🇺 interference, then buried the report, you’d think a Labour govt would be rushing to expose & deal with the problem.
An easy win, surely?
I’m not just deeply disappointed by this govt, I’m genuinely mystified.

Even as a Tory I must admit Reform MPs are devoted to serving their constituencies. For example Lee Anderson selling his ‘funny’ 30p football shirts in Ashdown & Nigel Farage’s outstanding work in Clacton.
Oh & here is Richard Tice working hard in his constituency of Skegness.
