The challenge with this dialogue is that Ontario’s Premier Ford already knows the numbers add up, but still pushes to gut Toronto’s bike lanes to appeal to his voter base.

Unpopular art opinion: there isn't a picture by Eric Ravillious I don't like, he's so much more than tea-towel gift shop fare IMO, and his 2015 Dulwich Picture Gallery retrospective was one of the best exhibitions I've been to. bsky.app/profile/ahis...
Eric Ravilious was a virtuoso at capturing everyday scenes and little details from English provincial life. This view (1935) is from the home he shared with Tirzah Garwood at Bank House, Castle Hedingham, Essex.

More than 16 years since Eilidh Cairns was tragically run over and killed while cycling along Notting Hill Gate, Westminster Council has come up with a good plan to keep people safe while crossing the road or riding their bikes along Bayswater Rd.

I took the train from Brussels to Berlin on midsummer’s eve in 2024, taking my bike and sharing a compartment with 2 Canadians and a Dutch student. Armed with ear plugs and a bottle of wine, we all slept well enough… Cycling in Berlin is fun!
