Geeky Gamer he/him lives with 2 cats and mostly playing Stellaris lately
My friend was on my Space Engineers server working on his asteroid base, turns out a Pirate Longshot was blasting my capitol factory ship while I was offline. He was using a scripted artillery turret so there was really nothing I could have done to prevent this. #SpaceEngineers

Vertical Slice 2 of Space Engineers 2 feels more like a graphics showcase in terms of playability not much engineering possible yet, I think it exists mainly to test the new colonization and contracts system. Still love the unified grid system, really looking forward to building a ship in 2.2.

As someone on the spectrum myself, I really don't think actual autism rates have increased at all in the modern age. Professionals and society are simply much more aware of the whole spectrum of how people may have it now, so it would be bizarre if we didn't see much higher rates of diagnosis.

The progress on my Underhive-standard Goliath gang. Only 9 members because one of the bodies went MIA, but still 1385 points worth. Plus a tentacle monster because. Scared to paint the flesh parts because it always comes out terrible. #necromunda

Been painting every day to get my Necromunda Underhive box set fit to look at. Got a House Orlock gang with primer drying in the garage, that's the team I customized, but hope to finish a stock Goliath team to teach the game to newbies.

It's a bizarre and frankly alienating feeling realizing that if you know the basic fact that the murder rate has gone down significantly since 1990 you're in the ~90th+ percentile of fact-knowers
Once again, Gen X is super wrong, but they're confidently wrong.

I've been reading through Isaac Asimov's Foundation series lately. It's especially intriguing as the citizen of a rapidly crumbling empire.

Got sucked in playing Kenshi this week, finally started to actually enjoy it. Tried to start over today to try a different build, and now remembering that the first several hours basically qualify as hazing.

Been replaying Baldur's Gate 3, just realized something. Every party member's background is too epic for their starting level, and not by a little. Karlach was fighting in the Blood Wars and was especially good at killing demons... at level 2. Wyll was singlehandedly a local hero.

Stellaris 4.0 is tough to recommend right now. The idea of the changes is overall good, making it hard to go back to a previous version, but the more you play the more things you encounter that AREN'T working as intended, making it hard to get invested in a campaign.

The Wilderness empire is so weird and different in Stellaris. All growth relies on the biomass resource, controlling more planets barely matters, instead of constructing districts and buildings to employ my population I'm making them to -create- population.

I'm a little skeptical about some of the wilder theories in quantum physics, but a cat sleeping on stairs is definitely capable of quantum superpositioning. No matter which foot you start on, the cat will always be lying exactly where you need to step to get past them.

PCGamer getting really unhinged since they disabled comments (not that they weren't shadowbanning critics before that). Here we have a 'news' article that is obviously just an ad for a lot of products they want you to buy through an affiliate link. www.pcgamer.com/hardware/i-f...
I feel like I can finally say we're at a point where buying new PC gaming gear doesn't mean settling for less
Poor quality products haven't disappeared, but gaming going mainstream has raised all boats.

I am blown away by the kind of twisted monsters people are rolling out of Oblivion Remastered

Part of me thinks there must have been diabolically deep TTRPG campaigns that have happened at arctic research stations. But then again if you don't like who you're stationed with it'd be like... welp, guess I'll go crazy and wander into the ice.

Got sucked into this game yesterday, fun light-hearted simulator game about slinging narcotics. I think I reached the end of the current available content after more than 10 hours played, at least in terms of new tech being unlocked.

I think someone figured out by repealing The New Deal, they can bring back The Great Depression, and for some reason the people in power want to do that.

I think the current state of U.S. politics makes more sense if you consider most of our leaders are likely abusing narcotics. Not only addles their decisions but their more illicit habits leave them open to bribery and blackmail. The organizations that would rein this in have been largely neutered.

Got my Dwarf Fortress Guidebook today from Fangamer. It's smaller in dimensions than I expected, but quite packed with good information. I'm working through it gradually just to freshen myself up and get new inspiration, think I'll try getting a beekeeping industry going next I play.

What I've found works well in the game Stellaris: speak softly but carry a big stick. Early on try to diplomatically engage any neighbors you can to keep them peaceful. Won't always work, so focus on building all the ships you can maintain, increasing capacity when possible. Best way to avoid wars.

Been playing Two Point Museum the last 58 waking hours. It's good, quite generous amount of content, the different categories of exhibit each have an interesting hook. It's essentially spinning many plates but low stress if that makes sense, great main monitor content while listening to something.

There's a funny little glitch in Stellaris right now, entire mixed fleets will hang out at absolute maximum range and plink away at stationary or orbiting enemies for ages instead of sending in the corvettes and destroyers to mop up.
