Chris Grey is correct here

For there to be a ‘reset’ in UK / EU relations and the Uk economy to improve there needs to be a positive affirmation of European identity.

Within England, I only see this in the Greens and 70% ish in the LibDems

This is a good thread
And not because Britain is not like the US or China or India, but is actually far far like us, like Nlands, Fra, Irl and Bel.

No, because this is a question of our civilisational survival.

The join focus has to be community, not pounds, shillings and pence.

People living in disgusting conditions. Our Government is spending £476m on the militarisation of the border.

We must divert that money to a humanitarian response that treats people with basic dignity.

Two points:
1. The LDs say "open talks", which is the correct approach to Europe when you're not a member
2. This shows the value of opposition motions in moving the debate along
What a victory! Today MPs narrowly backed our bill to cut the Brexit red tape and end this economic nightmare.

The PM must listen to Parliament and the public, drop his self-imposed red lines and go for growth with a new customs union.

Membership of SAFE was actually the one thing I thought the Labour government would do because it doesn't involve more foreigners in the UK

I think Erasmus will be difficult to accept for this government for reasons of costs and foreigner count.
Echoes of past in today’s @financialtimes.com @andybounds.bsky.social on Starmer effort to keep 🇬🇧-🇪🇺 reset on track. 🇪🇺 negotiating stance will harden the more it perceives Starmer as weak domestically because 🇪🇺 will want to ´future proof’ any agreement. In turn, makes it harder for 🇬🇧 to agree
