Yeah, had to boil strips of pork skin to make the jelly, and also lots of very fine dicing, dough making and resting, wrapping, etc… But better than staring at a screen :-)

First time making xiao long bao by myself. Bit of a marathon effort making everything from scratch, but despite the wonky shapes they turned out well. 5 hours of prep time, and all gone in 10 minutes 😋

The joy of sitting at the counter of a great #cocktail bar and talking to the staff about what _they_ would choose next. Valentin from L’Artchimiste in Lyon suggested a Champs-Élysée which I’d never heard of before, but hit the spot with its deep, dark, subtly spiced and quite herbaceous flavour.

Due to the UK’s new age verification law, I had been locked out of Bluesky DMs while in the UK for the last ~10 days. Now in the land of liberté 🇫🇷 and everything works again as it should. How is this UK law about protecting kids?? Feels a tad Orwellian… #freespeech
