I’m glad to see Bill say this. But when after a century of just the type of abuse we saw today - relentless and cruel, ensnaring our children and intimidating our communities - young Black people said in frustration, anger, and demand for change “defund the police” - so many of you denounced them.

Yesterday, witnessed an elder railing about not getting what she was owed (propers) from younger folk according to old traditions. She didn't realize how bad she looked & I felt pity. Late last night, I couldn't get a Google Doc to upload to a website & have been irrationally angry all-freakin-DAY!!

Detroit, Alabama, New Orleans by way of Mexico: Red kidney beans with smoked ham & hot sausage over a dirty rice mix made with leftover ground turkey (who knew?!) and homemade Colby cheese & jalapeño cornbread (a little cakey but good). So satisfying for an arctic night, y'all!

Quick, easy and cheap: Buldak noodles, half a cheap steak, shred a few cabbage leaves and add ginger paste & soy sauce! Dinner in 15! Oh, and only 1/4 the too spicy sauce packet!
