All I am saying is if I had inflicted a plague of bigoted grifters onto my country and had gotten filthy rich doing it, I would be at a fucking minimum out there calling them out and helping take them down.

It also benefits leftish pols that scan as centrist to the public. Andy Beshear has been admirably principled as a centre-left gov in a deep red state, but the GOP consistently failed to convince the public that the aw-shucks white guy with Lego hair was a Communist revolutionary.

there’s been an assumption that when Dems take power again they will keep ICE funded at these ridiculous levels forever and they are now on record voting to end that

they’ll need to go much further than that but it’s a start - and I sure don’t see the politics of ICE improving between now and then
👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.

It makes you sound crazy to say this out loud, but it's becoming increasingly clear that the United States government has been effectively toppled by a group of overt pedophiles

The arrests of Don Lemon, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lundy are unacceptable and a clear violation of the Constitution.

This is a dangerous abuse of power that threatens the rights of every single American.

They must be released immediately.

Senators pass a deal on government funding — but not in time to avoid a shutdown
Friday night’s shutdown deadline will pass without a funding law enacted. But House members have a chance to approve a Senate-backed deal and quickly limit the damage.

Rio: Leave the room? Okay.
'Lifeline' released on this day in 2003.

A sci-fi survival horror with a unique mechanical twist: Your on-screen character is controlled by voice commands, rather than traditional input. Unfortunately, poor speech recognition can wind up serving as more frustrating than fun.

it’s so funny that people post this OPSEC shit on Bluesky, a website that is by design trivially easy to scape and data-mine.
My dude, Selma marchers did not face a security state with the capability of mass surveillance and data collection through highly sophisticated tools that do not require human review to record literally everything you do at a protest for use in a potential prosecution/detention.
I’m so glad you went. I had many people ask me - “is it safe? Should I leave my phone and ID at home? Do I need an exit strategy?”

We’re building this bizarre and paranoid civic culture based almost entirely on miasmatic online fear endlessly feeding itself. Selma marchers didn’t even mask!

RIP Catherine O'Hara.
"Beetlejuice" holds a special place in my heart. Keaton had billing, but O'Hara's Delia Deetz stole the show.
"If you don't let me gut out this house and make it my own, I will go insane and I will take you with me!"
THAT was funny.

I know this is gonna hurt a lot of you but if you are against AI you basically can't play gacha games and by extension almost every game made in China. Nobody wants to be here. But this is where we are
Gacha games are designed with obsessive attention paid to trends so they can pace events and storylines to a degree that will make people pay money and attention to them with a clinical and statistical degree of addiction and I joked that HSR was the endgame of that; turns out I was 100% correct.
