Preheat oven to 170C.Mix 225g plain flour, 225g caster sugar,0.5tsp baking soda, pinch salt, 2tsp ground ginger, 1 tsp cinnamon, pinch salt. Rub in 125g butter. Mix 1 egg with 1tsp golden syrup and add to make a stiff dough. Divide dough into 36 balls, bake for 15-20 mins.

Very more-ish, and so easy to make. Bringing some for the staff room tomorrow. Next time I'll add some chewy bits of crystallised ginger to give extra oomph.
