It’s Banned Books Week. I think the Diary of Anne Frank is one of the most profound and important books of our time. Also one of the most banned books in America. Not because of the distressing content. She wrote a few paragraphs about crushes on girls and starting her periods.

Practitioner skills whether educator, clinician or social worker will always require that reflective/ reflexive ability to adjust to that person/group/ situation in the moment knowing when to use and when to discard evidential knowledge.

Super interesting thread and the article is a good thinking point. Over reliance on what ‘evidence’ works misses out for whom and mediated by whom. Quantative research provides broad brush strokes, the qualitative research and skilled practitioners will always be key too
