“Slash, storms and the fight over responsibility”

Forestry companies want to do this to communities and face no consequences, it’s fixable at source but they don’t want to spend the money on the fix or the clean up. NZ’s problem is a government on the side of the Forestry companies not NZ. #nzpol
Slash, storms and the fight over responsibility
Extreme weather may be the trigger for deadly and devastating slash, but the lines on who is responsible for prevention and clean-up are blurred.

If you want to count the votes quicker then you shouldn't have changed the law preventing people from updating their address in the two weeks prior to election, meaning more people will be casting special votes

The Electoral Commission says it will still take 20 days to count votes this year, despite a law change - but Paul Goldsmith is adamant they can go faster.

In Gaza, since my childhood, we have suffered from wars, bombings, and deprivation. Despite all this, we have always sought happiness in the simplest things, All we want now is peace, only peace. I pray that this world will grant us peace, for we truly do not deserve all this destruction.

Big day for the understanding of the #AtlasNetwork in Australia. Thanks to Gareth Hutchens and the ABC for publishing the story (and the namecheck 🫣).
You can’t understand the last 50 years of Australia’s history (closer to a century in quieter ways) without this.

This is really important I think. I frequently see older students benefitting so much more from the opportunities and space to grow intellectually that uni study affords. Takes a bit of time to unlearn bad habits from high school assessment, adjust socially, and find the best fitting degree pathway.
One of the best things about NZ is you don’t need to go to Uni straight out of school and getting a couple years work and life experience makes the Open Entry at 20 even better. Always, always remind your kids that they can still go to Uni anytime after 20 even without UE.

It certainly isn't safe for people that aren't white.

So when do we stop sending athletes there?
