People keep telling me we just have to "accept" the harms of ChatGPT as the necessary price of progress, & that I'm a Luddite for not using it, but, well, I'm genuinely finding it hard to accept that so many kids simply "have to" die. IMHO it needs a product recall.

Absolutely. There is a world of difference between factory mass-produced meats sold in supermarkets & free range beef, pork & poultry products we get from our local butcher. The difference is reflected in the prices, of course.
Oh, it very much is. Welfare standards have a huge impact on the flavour of the meat.
What they are fed will impact flavour, and stress hormones are well known for impacting taste in a negative way.

If Trump gets his way you'd have substandard chicken in the UK food chain but it would also be much cheaper so UK poultry farms - which are built and regulated to those much higher standards - would be royally screwed.

The EU banned that practice in 1997 and as such the UK has among the highest welfare and standards in the world. 1/2
