Finally have all the art from the last house inside the walls of this one. Couldn’t figure out why it felt like we had less space for art. It’s bc of all these windows. I traded wall space for the light. I’m ok w/that. Started to sort it to figure out what to purge. Me: This is half the clown art.

We had the best Halloween season. Except for the wigs; our costumes were made of things we owned, thrifted, or made. (More in alt text.) We spent the evening at a party w/friends, around a fire, kids running & having fun. His friends are so kind & welcoming. This has been the best Halloween in yrs.

I am in a messy brown wig cut short (bought new), a white tshirt (thrifted) with a poorly hand drawn felt pen image of Van Halen’s 1986 album 5150, a waistcoat (already owned) turned inside out so the black lining is on the outside, a coral cotton zip up hoodie (thrifted) tied around my waist, and black cotton shorts (thrifted) over grey sweat pants (already owned). I also hand drew the patches that I pinned to the shorts. Dracula is wearing a tightly curled blonde wig and his face is now shaved bare. He is wearing a grey sweatshirt cut into a crop top w/the sleeves cut short (thrifted), over that a purple long sleeve (thrifted) that he did a linocut block cut and hand printed the design all over it, on the bottom a pair of elastic waist band cotton taper legged pants he dyed grey (thrifted) and he drew the question mark on. We switched our shoelaces and I am wearing his old chucks that are too big. And I layered big slouchy socks to get the grey and red look.
