Little bit more about this as I run a pop up comic book store myself.
Every B&N changes their catalogue according to their regional customer base. Indie bookstores make an effort to stock things no one else will.
The reasons bookstores has made a resurgence: community. It’s actually a big deal.

In fact, B&N has been expanding rather a bit recently; their sales are up and they've refreshed their stores. And independent books stores have been growing in numbers too! It's been quite a turnaround for brick and mortar bookstores in the last couple of years. I hope it lasts.
I'm more shocked they're still opening new B&Ns.

An interesting (to me) side effect I’m seeing of ADHD meds is that while I know better than to try anything needing too much focus control after they wear off (generally around 8pm anyway), I am more able to relax and get into the rest activities I am doing, instead of a tired mind hopping around.

This fandom has a reputation for being "suspiciously wealthy" but the truth is most furries just love and value art and people so much that they want to use their money for art and supporting artists so they can make a living doing what they love. It's a cycle of genuine passion I think.

Gradually coming to the conclusion that the era when I could get away with not having an offline reference library is quickly closing. Gonna need to invest in photography and art books/magazines pretty heavily, methinks.
Not that this will be a bad thing, just pricy.

Observation doing art on ADHD meds:
Just because I can focus doesn’t mean that my process needs fixing because my unfocused self didn’t follow a good system while it scrambled for the parts that gave it sufficient dopamine.
This is fixable. I know the process. I just need to reimplement it.

I have organized, tidied, and cleaned 4 rooms in my house in a 6 hour cleaning bender. Some of the stuff dealt with has been bothering me for months.
