I’ll just be asking my dog the most unanswerable existential questions all day long like “are you the best boy?” and “how did you get so scruffy?” and “what are these little teefies for?” and then wonder why he needs to sleep 17 hours a day

Listen, I’m all for condemning how cozied up Trump is to Putin

BUT I don’t like these memes I keep seeing with Trump and Putin in some sort of BDSM relationship with Putin as the dom

Like the left is supposed to be the party championing sexual expression right?

Kinda funny how tech companies working on LLMs just started calling those LLMs “AI” for marketing and PR reasons

and all of culture just went along with it without a single thought

A lot of people at DICE told me I have to get on LinkedIn. I don’t wanna. Please don’t make me.

What people don’t understand about LinkedIn is that it’s poor for three primary reasons.

✅ it’s a role playing platform for punditry
✅ it rewards exactly the kind of people I avoid
✅ rule of threes

Being in your 30s means you can fuck up your neck for two weeks just by sleeping on a shitty pillow for two days.

I'm old enough to remember when Google's motto was "Don't be Evil".

How times have changed.

I'd really appreciate it if the rap and hip hop artists I loved in high school would just stop revealing themselves to be terrible people.

My nostalgia playlist is shrinking pretty much by the day at this point.

I'll watch the super bowl and talk man stuff like setting up the pass with a good run game

But I'll do so while drinking herbal tea all cuddled up underneath a nice cozy blanket

You don't need to be just one thing.

Netflix became YouTube 2.0

Just another example of the content machine’s relationship to the attention economy.

As platforms react to decreasing attention spans, they take part in further decreasing said attention spans, which then causes them to create even more “attention-grabbing content.”

Remember when Netflix’s mission was to be a bastion for true artistic expression?

Now it’s a wall of YouTube-style thumbnails featuring mindless content designed to grab your attention in the first 5 minutes before your dopamine-starved brain kicks at you to move on.

Oh how far we’ve come…

It's appropriate that this sentiment comes after the industry realized that they haven't done anything useful in 20 years so they descended into mass psychosis over tech that does nothing but purports to do everything
