This is all true (I would add the miserable sight of AI-generated animals on holiday greeting cards).

The actual impact of AI on my life so far:
- made my day job less enjoyable (editing AI written work is harder)
- increased the amount of mediocre images and writing in the world
- time spent fact checking Google summaries
- makes me distrust even the simple joy of an animal doing funny stuff!

Maybe it was inevitable after a decade of being a writer and co-writer to the stars, but I’m still a bit disappointed that we finally get a new Tobias Jesso Jr. album and so much of its brief running time sounds like sleepy piano demos for modern pop ballads that are just a little bit too generic.

Honestly the second-worst part of this Nuzzi story (I’m sure you can figure out the worst) is the ridiculous number of targeted ads fo Kimpton properties that I’ve been served this past week.

PSA: if you’re in Canada, it looks like CTV Go recently added a bunch of Criterion movies to its library, so you use the app to stream/watch things like Inland Empire, Slacker, Dead Man, Down By Law, Paris, Texas or Basquiat, to name a few.

This is really your basic schoolyard strategy—it only takes one to stand up to a bully and survives, and suddenly all the other kids are free to ignore the bully.
I think you do have to root for MTG here because the sooner a high-profile R actually in the government gets this treatment and survives the sooner the whole thing falls apart
