For any local multiplayer on iPad/Phone folks the TestFlight for my game ‘HNGRR’ is up.

It’s a game of chicken where each player’s health drops continuously and they need to eat little guys to survive, but if one player has higher hp they can be chomped too.

you know that part in "shawshank redemption" where andy dufresne finally gets a check for the prison library after years of sending a letter a week and the screw asks if he'll stop now and he says no, now I'll send two letters a week? that's where we are now. double down.

On Halloween night in 1994, two teenagers and their bully walk into a stranger's basement, and discover an uncomfortable secret about a girl they know.

Me: Huh there's fewer posts from Minnesota on the general strike day than I would have expected

Me a few hours later: Oh they're BUSY
It’s -9 degrees. Downtown Minneapolis is packed for the anti-ICE rally and the crowd keeps growing

A lot of the US is about to dip into the "deep freeze" (yay climate change), and most of 'yall are really not prepared for it.

So I wanted to share the Ikea blueprints to making blanket forts from stuff you have already in case the power goes out. You'd be shocked how warm they can get.

wait so birds don't have a blue field entoptic effect at all? we just stare at the sky and see snow for reasons of evolutionary happenstance?
Birds have a thick retina devoid of blood vessels - so how do they ensure sufficient oxygen availability?
They don't - neurons rely on glycolysis, metabolizing glucose released from the pecten.

Insane new study that includes comparative data on lizards and crocs.🧪

Oxygen-free metabolism in the bird inner retina supported by the pecten - Nature
While the photoreceptor outer segments in the bird outer retina have access to oxygen, the inner retina operates under chronic anoxia, supported by anaerobic glycolysis in the retinal neurons.

My week is dark so here is some cool videos to bright things up!
I enhanced the "wobble world" effect to feature bigger shakes and affect pollution and liquids now.
This will be important for narration and cutscenes!

Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

Do you produce an Actual Play?
Do you want it to be available to the public in 10+ years?

Upload to the Internet Archive! I made a checklist to walk you through it, and to help us coordinate.
OK I made a checklist to help y'all get started uploading your APs to the Internet Archive. It's a lot shorter than my general guide to digital preservation, I promise
