I don't want a witch hunt of the frontline worker at the 3rd party event planning company SQUEX hired to run this, she's someone who has never had to do this before- but that's exactly the problem- cons like PAX or NYCC have dedicated ADA teams. This event staffing hasn't dealt with that. 5/6

Invisible disabilities are still disabilities! As someone with celiac, it's stressful to travel and eat safely. So I pack my own food. And here's some fun tidbits:
1. Disney of all places allows outside food.
2. People with celiac are often disqualified from the fcking US military! The military!

-Things like access to outside food/drink or quiet room are accessibility needs to them and not general convention norms, and thus people with diabetes, food allergies, and people who just need to rest away from the con floor won't know they need to be accommodated until too late, and then... 2/6

I love how every artist has a different style that's wholly and uniquely them. even if ppl draw in the same general style, there's still just ✨something✨ about it that has the fingerprints of its creator and I think that's part of what makes art so beautiful
