day 1 for #cosmichorrorsjam : Not much visually to show so far, I decided to go with a resident-evil 1 style 3rd person fixed camera horror game, set on the moon. I have the charecter controller set up and walking/interacting right now (mostly re-used a controller from a previous project).

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

I've noticed that Lovecraft adaptations (ie color out of space 2020, from beyond 1986) love magenta for that exact reason

Oxygen is basically industrial waste in space operations, most of it bound up in regolith waiting to be released by heating (such as in mining). Industrial spaceships would get pretty oxidized

About 20 cars and ATVs followed their van and circled their van. They cut down trees to trap them, and shots were fired (not hitting the van, thankfully). If they hadn't escaped it's likely they would have been lynched.
