What I expected of Sinners: a very very good horror/genre/drama.

What I didn’t expect: every character is so fully actualized that they could have their own movie and it would be just as good. Coogler said he wanted to make a movie that felt like a meal.

And it does.

Watched the F1 Brad Pitt movie last night with the kids, and it felt like such a 90s movie - not in a bad way, just.. they don't really make movies like that anymore

it's one of those movies that got me constantly chasing the high i felt watching it for the first time lol. i think europa report, despite being a completely different kind of movie, is the only thing that quite scratches the same itch. I feel like solaris might too from what ive heard about it

You know, it's a shame I never saw Deep Impact as a kid. I would have loved the hell out of this movie as a 10-year-old. What do you mean a bunch of the main characters die? And the comet still hits Earth?? The happy ending is ONLY the eastern seaboard of the US is destroyed?? THAT'S AWESOME.
