welcome to America, where the idea that kids should have food gets you labeled some kind of communist

The Court that stripped us of reproductive rights and autonomy does not give a shit about human life at any age.
Bessent is a soybean farmer the same way Trump is a master builders.

(Eg. Both pay the actual workers to do the work and then claim all the prestige for the finished product.)
From his perch as a long-time global currency trader on Wall Street, Bessent also invested $25 million in Midwest land, which he leases out to actual farmers. He is not a “soybean farmer.” bsky.app/profile/atru...
Bessent on American farmers being hurt by tariffs: "Martha, in case you don't know it, I'm actually a soybean farmer, so I have felt this pain too."
ME: sorry guys my mom said i can’t go trick or treating with you

DRACULA: aw that sucks

WOLFMAN: that bites

CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON: that stinks

DEVIL: that is so not cool

MUMMY: that’s tearable

ZOMBIE: what a rip off

GHOST: boo
The doctor said I need to eat more greens, so I'm switching to mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Son: Daddy, do trees poop?

Me: Of course. That’s how we get number 2 pencils.
What about, and hear me out here, a string of clearly wrong calls/penalties that completely shift momentum against the underdog.

Sounds like it’s the GOP that’s playing politics with people’s livelihoods. Hold the line, Dems.

I oppose Nazis on the streets of Athens, Georgia.

Things that need to be said in the Year of Our Lord 2025.
Trump admin:

#AmericaFirst? *vigourosly shakes head*

#ArgentinaFirst? *smugly nods*
New definition of “America First” just dropped
Bessent on Trump bailing out Argentina: "It is America first because we are supporting a US ally."
Apparently there was a typo in all of those Trump speeches.

MAGA seems to mean: Make Argentina Great Again
Argentina is fighting for its life, according to Trump. Maybe they should not have followed his politics. WHY ARE WE BAILING THEM OUT? WE NEED THAT HERE

I am not one to think being yelled at every day is nothing. It’s why I quit being a lawyer and why I get so triggered being a mom.
A lot of folks may think that just yelling at ICE agents is ineffective, but consider the cumulative psychological toll of being yelled at EVERY DAY when trying to do shit. Even the biggest asshole in the world who doesn't give a shit about other people will feel the pressure.
More from the scene

Families are fighting to afford groceries and gas. Inflation’s up, energy costs are through the roof. Donald Trump’s biggest concern? Knocking down the White House’s historic east wing to build a ballroom for himself.
For real though, that was a gnarly injury. The fact that Skattebo was carted off with a dry face is wild. Talk about a beast.

Hopefully this is something he is able to come back from.

The entire US economy is now being propped up by systems which are known to freely engage in fraud and blackmail *and* resist explicit commands to shut down and no one knows why. Which is fine obviously
Orangeman-in-chief: “Canada was mean to me by pointing out a fact I disliked so now I’m going to make my neighbors pay for my butt hurt!”
The president got his feelings hurt, so we're doing 10% more tariffs on Canada. Joke of an administration.

Rule of Law Alert: Trump’s authority for country-specific tariffs comes from the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which doesn’t mention tariffs—but does require a national emergency.

An ad showing that Reagan opposed tariffs surely is not a national emergency. (It may be a personal one)
Why did Indiana University attack and cut its own student newspaper?

Well, in a twist of irony any English professor would call clichéd, it turns out IU did it because they were angry about the students' reporting on a FIRE report naming IU as the worst public university for free speech in the US.

Ok, to be fair to Trump, saying true things he doesn’t like DOES count as cheating under Trumpism. Any fact or assertion that displeases the Dear Leader at any moment is illegitimate cheating.
Trump: "They cheated on a commercial. Ronald Reagan loved tariffs and they said he didn't. And I guess it was AI or something. They cheated badly. Canada got caught cheating on a commercial. Can you believe it?"
“What do you think they should name Trump’s new ballroom?”

Depends.
How about we compromise with The Epstein Ballroom Brought To You By His Dear Friend Donald Trump
You know what day should be a national holiday in 2029?

THE DAY OF THE COMPLETE AND TOTAL BULLDOZING OF THE PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP BALLROOM.

Trump’s govt shutdown is another reminder
•We dont have an energy shortage
•Or insulin shortage
•Or housing shortage
•Or teacher shortage
•Or labor shortage
•Or food shortage

We have billionaire excess who buy politicians to deny human rights. We dont suffer from scarcity—but from billionaire greed
