I'm in customer service so we're the most steady plant. Our production plants have combined and cut back to try and keep as many employed as they can but most are working 3 days a week.
Not entirely uncommon in the winter but they've been doing it for the last 17 months now.

I have 3 people looking for 3 different levels of positions (restaurant work to Sr. Level Software Engineering) in my family. None of them have even gotten interviews in weeks of applying for anything! Everyone knows it's an awful job-market no matter what the Senile Satan says.
