Had a fairly interesting life, did some stuff, went some cool places, made some things, and now I'm old.
Funny how that works...

I don't know why, maybe a "past life", but part of me does live in Norway

I say lay off criticizing MTG for her past and live in the present

She looks genuinely humbled

How many of us never did anything shitty while under the influence of alcohol or crappy "friends"?

No don't give her any roles as a Democrat but do take her seriously

Don't behave like a MAGAt yourself

Russia wants us sick and disabled and living in poverty

Russia has control of the basic functions of our government

Why else would this happen?

The importance of the pie in the face was that it clearly, unequivocally, and in full public view told the recipient that their behavior was unacceptable and out of line

Now they just think that since there's no direct pushback they can do whatever with impunity

NO not possible

Time is a Cocoa Puff full of chocolatey goodness that seeps into any nearby matter & makes it look dark

Its transient physical states mirror the history of the cosmos in miniature as it goes from fresh out of creation to dissolution in the milk of infinity

The Froot Loop Theory of Time
Time is little more than a series of endlessly recurring loops. The past is created in a nut free-facility. The present is crunchy. The future brings only sogginess. (May contain artificial flavors and colors.)

It warms my cockles to think of all the "men" huddled in their C-suite offices, beholding "Prince" Andrew and Larry Summers, protectively cuddling their shriveling privates in their cupped hands, and wondering when and how the axe is going to fall

Imagine that today you are an investor heavily invested in "AI"

You're doing the math and it's obvious you're not going to see a return

What do you do?

How long do you wait to get out?

What if your exit triggers an avalanche?

And what about the tremendous peer pressure to hold the line?

It's important to distinguish between "machine learning" & "AI"

"AI" is a blanket term for lots of stuff

Machine learning for distinct tasks is a great technology

It is NOT the same as the LLMs which are generally huge plagiarism machines designed to replace humans with the skills stolen from us

This is not ok
For @msmagazine.com, I wrote about the WNBA and the issue of pay equity. By the time the WNBA was only two seasons in (1999-2000) the average NBA salary was 58 times higher than the average WNBA salary. Twenty-six years later, the gap has jumped to 116 times higher.

Someone should do a graphic of DJT doing that stupid dance on a plank (as in "walk the plank") oblivious to the waters roiling below and the hail of bottles, bullets, rolls of paper towels, and rotten tomatoes from every direction

That plank's gotta be getting kind of slippery about now
