Getting companies to adopt an alternative? Good luck with that. Did you know that facebook used to have an option to have all emails they send you PGP/SMIME encrypted? Did you know they removed this option in 2023 to no particular fanfare?
I really wish we could get a secure replacement for email already, one that’s incompatible and not just bolting on and becoming an optional feature by necessity.

Typing in landscape with a virtual qwerty sucks because due to the aspect ratio it winds up taking up 95% of the screen. And because that's a very common use case, portrait remains the default. Portrait would not survive a slidephone resurgence
It is funny that even though computer monitors and TVs and tablets all have landscape orientations, we all got suckered into phones being portrait.

Flops stands for FLoating point OPerations per Second. Basically its how many times the computer can do sums with scientific notation (that whole the speed of light is 2.9×10⁸ junk) per second. Useful for calculating video game geometry. Dangerous for compound interest calculations due to inaccuracy

How does a person with a medical degree not understand the difference between malnutrition and no nutrition. Like you can fill a car with horse piss, and that will make the fuel tank read full but the car ain't bloody going anywhere!
You thought your dr "just googling your symptoms" during consultation was bad?
How about a dr who incredulously asks his Twitter audience of nearly 200k people whether your situation "is even possible" because he lets his prejudice against fat people get in the way of basic medical knowledge?
