Hong Kong fire and Grenfell are just alike. Fire spreading through unsafe building materials installed due to penny-pinching, killing dozens. One difference: before the HK fire is even out three executives at contractors have been arrested, eight years after Grenfell no-one has been arrested.

Watched the first couple of the latest episodes of Stranger Things, and am pretty sure that they could’ve tightened them up and lost 10-15 minutes of runtime per episode without having to sacrifice any scenes let alone lose any story…

Back from dropping my bike off to get its wheel fixed, and from the garage to find out what was wrong with that. Garage identified the problem, don’t have the parts, will have to take to back tomorrow. Bike needs picking up shortly. Glad I didn’t have anything else I needed to today…

So the actual bar being discussed for juryless trials seems to be anything where the sentence is less than 5 years.
Anything less than 5 years would not require a jury and could be decided by a judge in a closed room.
Worth noting that 3 years is the top number for activists generally...
