A new bill will head to Congress to prevent women from being turned away or sent home from a hospital while in active labour. This is after a video circulated of a Black woman who was dismissed from a hospital, only to give birth in her truck minutes later on the side of the road.
A woman gave birth 8 minutes after a hospital turned her away. A bill aims to stop that from happening again.
The legislation seeks to stop Black women from suffering during and after childbirth and hold hospitals accountable, according to bill language obtained exclusively by NBC News.

After working in a rather antagonistic workplace for....too long....Im seeing the importance of having those skills and the consequences of not. Im only atp where I say nothing because I know im gonna come in too hot. 😔
I don't want to tussle, but I want to have a convo about the very real importance of "Soft Skills" in the workplace. I am watching someone get zipped UP in an email because she continuously comes in hot for no reason. Sometimes she's right sometimes not but its all in how you communicate

I know it’s plenty of people who tell me I need to get down with being casual.. my emotions dont work like that…and i’m not going to make it work like that either. In my relationships while it’s great temporarily… I don’t like the emotional toll.. it’s not worth it, imo. I’m cool 😂 marry me or stfu
