Yeah it's one of those ones that could never escape the comparisons, but i think they definitely did a solid job. Also, fun to see a modern spoof movie again after the later Scary Movies/Date Movie/Epic Movie muck ruined the whole genre

[Final post about this, I swear]

Not that I wasn't already, but I am now BUZZING for this film next year. Phenomenal story, great casting, big hype.

(I will be SHOCKED if the first trailer for Supergirl isn't a complete copy of the first trailer for John Wick)

Honestly, I keep thinking that Gunn's #Superman is what would have happened if Sam Raimi had done Spider-Man while ALSO having to set up the MCU and Avengers in the same film.

You can feel that tugging sliiightly on the film, but just makes me more excited for sequel

I'm mainly looking forward to Gunn doing a #Superman 2, because this film had to both launch a new take on Supes AND a whole new DC universe which, from a sheer technical point of view, I'm kind of amazed that it (just about) manages to do both, and WELL

Man, I REALLY enjoyed #Superman

I think it's a solid 8/10 for me, slight pacing issues and felt they could've let it breathe a bit more in the third act, but GOOD LORD does James Gunn understand what works about these characters

Jurassic World Rebirth is a solid 6/7 out of 10, plot is basically nothing and script absolutely needed a few more drafts but none of that matters because Gareth Edwards films some gorgeous dino shit & that's what I came for
