That’s not quite right I’m afraid. Boys already get lessons on consent, respect etc in PHSE. What’s proposed is targeted interventions for boys where there are specific teacher/parent concerns - sort of like a Prevent scheme for misogyny to tackle attitudes potentially leading to sexual violence

(They are doing fuck all by chanting. A well organised letter writing campaign aimed at elected representatives could likely have had more impact than most any of these marches, but sticking rigorously to the Need To Have This Chant as your battle line is pure self importance)

I agree about the danger of chants, I don’t see them as dangerous.

I don’t think antisemitism is the motivation, more likely moral repugnance about what Israel is doing.

I don’t wish harm to Jews but avoid doing anything that is good for Israel.
Where I perhaps differ from a lot of people is that I wouldn’t ban the chants, and I don’t think the vast majority of the people objecting are motivated by antisemitism, but rather by their own glowing sense of self importance. They are Doing Something by chanting, and that is enough for them.

Weird thinking. The UK doesn’t have a working class in the way it used to.

Successful Labour governments have had a much wider focus than is being argued for here.
OK, I really want to know what exactly is being argued here despite suspecting that I will despise it immensely.

Again and again, the optimal position when legally threatened by Trump is to be resolute in defence and prepare for court.

You will likely not then have to go to court, as he will fold or settle.

But if you seek to settle from the off, he has got you and he will crush you.
Everyone should stand up to this bully.

At the start of the week you are given N email tokens. By default each email you send costs one token with each recipient costing one additional token apiece.

If you run out of token you can only reply.
A rule in mail that would move recipients to BCC above a certain number. Or at least warns e-mail authors, so they can make the conscious choice, just like with forgotten attachments. That is a feature I miss in all e-mail platforms…

£240,000 per job to temporarily safeguard 500 jobs at a firm run by the UK's 7th richest person, an ardent Brexiter worth £17 billion.

Is it really worth it when firms that don't get a penny in government support collapse with greater job losses every few weeks?

FWIW I think this is a great achievement; and the Government are doing things that are good.

But it will be all for nothing, because of a foolhardy strategy that just isn't working (and won't ever work) at the Home Office.

I'm praying, praying that someone in Government gets this before too late.

Would it be sensible for the BBC to sue Prescott?

And then go back to Trump’s lawyers arguing that as their case is based on what Prescott reported they need to wait.
Now, why didn’t Trump’s lawyers just include the sentence in the quote, like Michael Prescott did?

It’s because Prescott omitted a chunk of quote too. Trump’s lawyers have managed to cut it out of their filing, too, but they’ve done it more cleverly than him. Here’s the missing bit:

I hear Netanyahu criticising the Australian govt. for making life dangerous for Jews.

Doesn’t he appreciate that he is responsible for radicalising people all over the world against Jews.

I’m even more horrified when he is supported by Jewish organisations supporting IDF murder of Palestinians.
