i've gotten really good at tuning the commentators out. i remember Romo explaining the rules to OT at the very end of Super Bowl LVIII while i was asking how the rules go because i had not been listening to him for hours

This Chiefs season has actually been easier than last season. Watching your team be shit but still keep winning is frustrating. When they just lose, you can just be angry, and if you can't enjoy watching your favorite team, being really mad at them is the next best thing

what's weird to me is how this article pretends that smartphone tech is still evolving like it was in the beginning. the difference between an iPhone 11 and 15 is nowhere near the difference between the 1 and 4. there's no productivity loss or performance bottleneck, it's pure greed

almost every defense i see of LLMs not actually being particularly helpful with actually learning involve the user being independently able to verify information, and know how to correctly prompt the LLM. which, even if the average person could do that, the AI companies dont tell you that!

the sports community here is unfortunately much smaller than Twitter but significantly higher quality. for years now, engaging in sports discourse on Twitter outside of professional writers has been like sticking your head into a vat of toxic sludge
One thing that's been heavily proven to me is Bluesky is not all politics. The music, record, cd, movie, books, horror and lots more scenes are heavily alive and well here with almost zero negativity. Better engagement here than Facebook has been in years.
