Well, i just got another rejection letter from IPS.
So I didnt even make it to the finalist stage for grad school applications this year.
One more application in the pipe, hope to get something positive back on it because I don't really know wth more I'm supposed to do to get into grad school

This is what the most distant confirmed galaxy looks like. The light we're receiving was emitted when the Universe was ~15x smaller in linear size than today, and right now it's ~30 billion light-years away from us. The light was emitted when the Universe was <300 million years old. Pretty amazing!

JWST has confirmed this galaxy, MoM-z14, as the most distant one yet studied. We're seeing it as it was 13.5 billion years ago, 98% of the way back to the beginning of time.

If you have ever doubted that water really *is* blue, here's a photo of a meltwater pond on a glacier in Greenland. The water is pure, and the white background makes the colour obvious. You need a lot of clean water to see it, but the true colour of water is an incredibly striking brilliant blue.
