Known by some as "Gandalf" and "That God Damned Tree Wizard"
Pinned
Be forewarned, I am deeply unserious about a great many things.

Okay I was ambivalent with the new muppet show until Sabrina Carpenter and Kermit did a duet of Islands in the Stream and she sang so well and it reminded me of Dolly and I was like "okay cool now I like it."

HOLY SHIT THEYRE SINGING QUEEN NOW.

Also that paper comes from forests where we are doing restoration work. Your books and toilet paper help fund projects that steer second growth hardwood forests back toward high-complexity, uneven-aged, mature character
In terms of paper waste, maybe, but ebooks aren'tthe solution. Speaking as a librarian, ebooks are the bane of my fucking existence. I can buy 10 MMPB for the cost of 1 restricted access temporary license ebook. See:
bsky.app/profile/book...
Mass market paperbacks that were unsold within 90 or 120 days had their covers stripped (as proof of destruction) then were pulped. Up to 50% of the print run would be destroyed this way. Horribly wasteful: we're MUCH better off with ebooks as the cheap/disposable reading format of choice.

It’s true that federal agents are attacking our city, abducting our neighbors, terrifying tens of thousands of people into hiding. But you’ve rooted out the real enemy: the liberals who are also fighting them, but not leftishly enough.

Talked with a friend who said their LGBTQ community could do for some ICE whistles, and an hour later, the rainbow filament arrived.

Apparently some people erroneously concluded (without doing any research like simply looking at Tawny Newsome’s Instagram) that Avery Brooks wasn’t involved with this episode in any way, so I’m sharing this again and encouraging you to follow the people who write the damn episodes.
I just can’t with these people

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

They hate the helpers.

Which is why must keep helping.
