THEY DID IT. EVERY SENATE DEMOCRAT just voted on an amendment to DEFUND ICE (rescind the BBB slush fund that keeps ICE open during a shutdown.) This amendment failed, but it shows broad support! KEEP CALLING and make it a demand to vote for the DHS funding bill!!
👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.

Maher Tarabishi was detained in October during a scheduled check-in at an ICE facility.

He was the primary caretaker of his son, who died last week.

The family is seeking Maher's release so he can attend his son's funeral.

ICE reportedly denied the request.

Unimaginable cruelty.

In October, ICE grabbed Maher Tarabishi.

He was a 24/7 caregiver for his disabled son Wael.

At the time of Maher’s detention, disability advocates warned that taking away Wael’s caregiver put his life at risk.

Wael died on Friday at age 30.

ICE caused his death.

They didn’t get to say goodbye.
Disabled son of ICE detainee dies after 30 days of hospitalization
It had been months since Wael Tarabishi seen his father. The family is calling on ICE to release Maher Tarabishi so he may attend his son's funeral.

This giant ICE Army they are building this year is also likely to be at polling places during the midterms in heavily Democratic precincts with the excuse being that they are looking for “illegals trying to vote.”

MAINE MUST PASS LD 2106!
No Maine parent should be afraid to send their child to school or take them to the doctor.

LD 2106 ensures that ICE cannot enter Maine’s schools, daycares, healthcare facilities, or libraries without a valid judicial warrant. Learn more & take action now! 1/

On May 13, 1985 in Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania State Police dropped a bomb from a helicopter onto a Black neighborhood.

11 people were killed, 5 of whom were children.

As we see ICE terrorize communities, understand that saying “this isn’t who we are” is false.

@pinetreeactivism.org Have you seen any public protests/marches scheduled to align with this national strike on Friday? I'm trying to find any, but haven't seen stuff yet.

I don't think this will ever get old on #BlueSky: I'm scrolling through the "Discover" tab, repost some stuff, write a bit. Then head to the "Latest" tab to see what's going on. 10/10 times I say, "Hey, that's something I posted! Oh wait..." 🤣🤣

This much is clear: Stephen Miller is in charge. They've shipped off Bovino, they're hanging Noem out to dry, Trump is using slightly conciliatory language...and Miller is still running a blitzkrieg in Minnesota. He, not Trump, is in charge. And he is the one Democrats should fight to remove.
here's a video from this afternoon in Eden Prairie MN of ICE agents camping out as a bus stop.

Again, this is terrorism.

WTF!!
1/27/2026 - Minneapolis

ICE just attempted an illegal entry into the ECUADORIAN CONSULATE to abduct someone

They did not have a warrant

Pretty funny how they cheer when he makes a coherent statement.
people at this restaurant in Iowa are explaining things to Trump like he's a child
January 27, 2026 at 9:02 PM
I saw someone make the pitch that we should start highlighting how Stephen Miller is really calling the shots. Trump will dump him in a heartbeat.
They know they’re wrong. The pressure is working. Keep going.

When @governorwalz.mn.gov mentioned the Epstein Files and revealed that blackmail letter from Pam Bondi notice how fast Greg Nazi Bovino was fired.

Pedo Trump doesn't want Governors talking about the Epstein Files. These are supposed to be distractions from that. So Nazi Bovino had to go.

Yep- that’s the wedge
I think the way to get rid of Miller is for Trump to find out that everyone thinks that Miller is the real president. No way Trump can handle that ego blow.
And it’s pretty clear that someone, or more than one, inside the White House is no longer working with him

The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

Honestly, if we're going to dump DHS, I think we could use folks on the right backpedalling and being vocal about it.
we are witnessing historic backpedaling here
January 27, 2026 at 2:07 AM
Are we going to keep it up, or just become complacent if they stop shooting people?
The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE
