Last night, I had a bizarre nightmare about flying a fighter jet in the year of 2047, trying to defeat a rogue outdated Drupal site that became sentient and decided to destroy the world akin to Horizon Zero Dawn. It also somehow involved a misconfigured view. 🥲 #Drupal

YOU LITERALLY LIVE IN THE SAME HOUSE AS SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE AS YOU
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do
For some reason, some of the redesigned pages on Drupal.org website tasted a lot like wild blackberries, wild blueberries, grapes, and tangerines in yogurt topped with some granola, while other redesigned pages tasted like those same berries & fruits but in a mimosa instead. Why? Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🫐🍇
It was kind of like an upgrade of being able to taste colors.
Edible wore off, and now I can no longer taste websites. Hmm.

I’m high as fuck right now, and this website tastes good. John just asked me what I want to eat for dinner, and I think it is this website. It’s got the perfect balance of savory, sweetness, texture, and zing. And it is pretty functional too!
My assumption is that OpenAI probably assumes if they start *lightly* acknowledging it, then it might somehow socially normalize it as an “acceptable” risk, thus reducing liability or something.

My darkest read is that this is both worse than they're letting on AND they're using the damage they're doing as a marketing tool. There's a non trivial number of investors that see the potential of inflicting mass psychosis as an opportunity.

And didn't he literally just put out a statement recently about how "now since that annoying mental health stuff has been solved, now we can move on to the fun part of making adult chat bots"

Reminder: one of their *own investors* is amongst those who has lost touch with reality as a result of their product. And they still haven’t slowed down.
Reality is really trying to outpace this edible.
Genuinely what the fuck is going on in Albania

My big takeaway from Trump's lengthy Air Force One gaggle is that he's talking about shredding the Constitution by being in office for a third term increasingly openly.

If you don't think he try it, you're in denial.
Trump on a third term: "I would love to do it. I have the best numbers ever. Am I not ruling it out? You'll have to tell me."

among the reasons I hate AI as a term is that it makes people treat regression models like Satan
so I can explain this: it's not generative AI: it's usually deep learning models trained on meteorology tasks and it can be quite effective
I know It would only annoy me, but if you are using weather balloons for data, where does the AI come in?

Because it sounds like they’re just doing meteorology and complicating it with AI.

41 million people (including 20 million kids) will lose access to food in a few days while a new 90,000 square foot ballroom is being added to the White House.

This political moment is profoundly disgusting.
