Holy crap, Franco Zeffirelli's "Endless Love" is one of the most frustrating movies I've seen. Between its slow-as-shit pacing, the borderline unlikable characters, and the campy acting, the only real entertainment value this film has is just how fucking BIZARRE it is.

Don't start with the big story you've been dreaming up for ages. Instead make something small you know you can complete and do that over and over again. Your skills will develop way faster and you'll eventually realize that "big story" wasn't as good as you thought it was.

59. I find using "fan fiction" as a descriptor for "bad writing" to be incredibly regressive and any excuse one could make to justify doing so always comes off as moving the goalpost.

One of the reasons this style is around is due to its quick turnaround rate for animation. It's easier to animate, thus more episodes can be pumped out. The unfortunate part is that studios see this as the "safe" option, hence why it looks homogenized nowadays.
Genuine question. Does anyone ACTUALLY like this style? Kids certainly don't.
I've been interacting with my mom's friend's kids, and they don't know these cartoons. They play Roblox and watch YouTube shorts.
They know Adventure Time and Scooby-Doo, but nothing from this decade.
