If I knew how to do that, I'd have tried it already. It's got to be more systematically recorded than my other example.

...unless there's a trousers_malfunction field somewhere I haven't found yet...

These things are not mutually exclusive.

Anyone out there have a list of MLB at bats that have involved multiple replay reviews?

(This is niche, but not any more niche than the time George Moriarty split his pants behind home plate, and that's been logged.)

KC 20 vs TOR 1 (Fri 9/19)... 11th occurrence since 1901, but the 10th was TOR over COL less than six weeks ago (8/6). The score had never happened twice in a season, let alone with one team on opposite sides of those games, and didn't happen at all from 1926-2000.

On Tues 9/16, there were three 6-5 finals on the same date (HOU vs TEX, MIA @ COL, SF @ ARI) and they were listed consecutively on MLB's scores page.

LAD 13 @ SF 7 (Sat 9/13)... 188th occurrence since 1901, first since... LAD @ WSH on 6/22 this year. Has happened exactly twice in each of 2023-25 after five times in 2022 alone.

SF 5 vs LAD 1 (Fri 9/12) and NYY 7 @ BAL 1 (Sun 9/21) were extra-inning games decided by 4+ runs in a 10-day span. I feel like that can't be THAT common although obviously the Manfred Man challenges some assumptions about extra-inning scoring.

Couple of notes from latest update of the Kernel Matrix, which tracks every MLB (AL/NL/FL) score since 1901...

WSH 15 @ MIA 7 (Mon 9/8)... 106th occurrence, second this season (SEA @ DET on 7/12). 15-7, 15-8 and 15-9 have all happened in 2025, but 15-0, 15-4, 15-5 and 15-6 have not.

Unfortunately Benton Harbor is about four times farther than Nappanee is (and today’s schedule is less conducive to adding things on a whim).
tmiller2462.bsky.social
Also, I have in mind that the late writer Scott Miller once mentioned that his mom was from Nappanee, but I have no evidence of that.

Oh for God’s sake. I live in Goshen, which is like 20 minutes from there. If I knew they were playing vintage base ball I might actually have gone (although based on the timestamp I don’t know how much you got to play before the storm came through).

I do absolutely remember watching Roethlisberger play Iowa and thinking "this team is not great but the QB is not the problem."

Also, of course, "how do you spell his name again?."

Michiana will be getting the Colts game on CBS (stunning) with the Andrew Catalon crew and the lead DH games of NYG-WSH and GB-DET.

506 Sports Patreon subscribers (www.patreon.com/506Sports?ut...) get to see the preliminary map before it goes live. Much easier than mailing bribes to New Brunswick.

“TBD” stands for “To Be Determined,” otherwise known as “Fox has not decided what game you’re getting this week yet.”
tmiller2462.bsky.social
Exactly. You don’t even have to default him from the whole thing, you just have to find one point penalty in there…
tmiller2462.bsky.social
We’re going 6 minutes between points because the player who’s down match point is inciting the crowd so that his opponent can’t serve and ranting about the umpire directly into the worldwide television camera. If that’s neither a time violation nor unsportsmanlike conduct, what is?
tmiller2462.bsky.social
There's never an RBI on a run-scoring error with two outs.

(Batter safe at first on fielder's choice, moving runners to second and third; runners advance extra base on error.)

@hungrymarshall.bsky.social Tots’n’ham Hotdish is a very thematically appropriate FPL team name for you.

Well done, whoever put this headline about synthetic butter right next to the one about the Wisconsin State Fair.

Happy 89th anniversary to the George Moriarty Trousers Incident.
Moriarty played 14 years in MLB and was well-regarded as an umpire after that. But on this day he bent over to dust off the plate and, to quote the Cleveland Plain Dealer ...
(This is why they advise umpires to wear black underwear.)

Is there anywhere that delivers that will give a discount rate on 65 gallons of milk?

Seems like there are always a couple of these on Memorial Day and Labor Day, which are holidays (more day games) on Mondays (when just about everything is the first game of a series). This year we get the Fourth of July on Friday, another series-opening day, too.
