Oh hey, that's Reynard the Fox! The Reynard stories are a super interesting bit of folklore I'm actually surprised (and kinda sad) more furries don't seem to know about. A lot of interesting commentary on the wealthy and the corrupt, told through a lens of animal stories.

I understand the defensive knee-jerk that Christians want to make when they see stuff like this, but really it'd be a lot better to take ownership. They're not "twisting scripture" any more than you are. It's not possible to twist something that's already so full of gaps and contradictions.

Jesus also says you have to abandon everything and everyone you care about in order to follow him (Matthew 19:29), despite that pretty directly contradicting the sixth commandment. The Bible is chaotic neutral at best, being collected over thousands of years by thousands of people.

This is kind of the one chance there is for coalescing around a single flawed flag, like Blacksky is doing, instead of just scattering to the winds. Yes, the new moderation will be full of shitty petty drama. It will suck, but you will be free.

The funniest thing to me is that Elon Musk had enough money that people knew trying to save Twitter was a lost cause, but despite Jay apparently trying to copy Elon, she's very quickly finding out just how outnumbered and outmatched she is by weird furries and trans people who aren't going anywhere.

The word for badger is "broc" in Irish and "broch" in Welsh, so my guess is that maybe it's a holdover from an older Celtic word that made it into the language.
