Listening on @LBC and it is disturbing & wholly the wrong tone for this day. The fact they warned people dissent would not be tolerated & only applause welcome spoke volumes. To then listen to the rewriting of history & denial of genocide was awful. It’s a victory parade instead of a day of peace.

This isn't a surprise.
Attackers can spend months inside the organisation, undertaking surveillance and stealing data, before being found or causing any damage. Only once they have what they want would they trigger encryption and demand a ransom, or simply lurk within the company network.
