Whenever people say "run for office," I say, "I've looked into that and had friends who did it, and no, that's not feasible for most people." Especially as a woman without financial backers, nobody is going to want you to run and it will get ugly. I've seen it happen.

Back in 2018 I actually met with some Ohio Dem people because I was curious about the feasibility for running for office. I was basically told "if you can't show us that you have people prepared to write you checks for $1 million right now, we're not interested in you." So that was fun.
