Called it: AB Separatists will try to get rid of Indigenous support for Canada & the Crown.
Smith used the Notwithstanding Clause to end a simple Teachers' Strike.
Wld she use it to rid Indigenous support for AB remaining w Canada/the Crown?
Harper's 'incremental conservatism' til the final jump.

What embarrassing twaddle.
“In order to turn the page to become a new and free country, Alberta has to ditch the things that are Canadian that exist in Alberta right now,” said Bruce Pardy, the exec director for Rights Probe, at a right-wing political conference in Calgary. 🚫🇨🇦 #abpoli

The voters in Nicolaides’ riding can recall him because:
- he’s part of a conspiracy govt they didn’t want
- he’s towing the line for an authoritarian leader
- he doesn’t represents them anymore
- he’s really not that good at his job
- or any other reason
It’s not up to anyone but them.

NEW:

AFL president Gil McGowan says work will begin on the process to organize a potential general strike in Alberta if in response to the UCP invoking the notwithstanding clause to force teachers back to work.

Welch: "This has nothing to do with the shutdown. The law requires and the funds are available to continue SNAP right now without any interruption. So that is a decision the president is making on his own to allow people to go hungry."

Tomorrow, from 9 AM to noon, St. Albert students are organizing a walk-out and a march in support of Teachers.

As a dad, former Teacher and education minister, I support this. Missing school is warranted in support of social justice and civil right.

I’ll join them.

Our thoughts are with you. Hugs and hope from us.
Let’s see if she sticks to her word (there’s got to be a first time) when she said she did not want Alberta to separate and didn’t want a separation referendum.

She does not need to call for a referendum. She can take the will of the people, as shown in the petition, and confirm it in the Leg.
We know they can’t be high ranking because Trump would have pardoned them.

Q: What did you mean when you said you're prepared to send 'more than the National Guard' into American cities?

TRUMP: if I want to enact a certain act, I'd be allowed to do whatever I want. The courts wouldn't get involved. Nobody would. I could send Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines -anybody I want
Not to overlook Dani’s invoking of the not withstanding clause as part of a law that strips teachers rights even embedded in multiple Alberta laws. Trump would be jealous of Dani’s ability to strip people’s constitutional rights away.
Dani Smith and the #UCP revel in the same kind of 🐂 💩. Why else would #Alberta have a vote tabulator ban, a COVID vaccine restricted system, book banning, immigration blaming for issues caused by the UCP, and even a chemtrail check?

I can’t imagine why she’d want to but everything she does leads me to conclude she wishes she was an American politician leading a bunch of uneducated conspiracy theorists who continue to vote against their own best interests.
