Danielle Smith's βsovereign Alberta within a united Canadaβ is a stupid, childish phrase that they think lets them cleverly straddle the fence. In or out, you cowards. I'm not a fan of Quebec separatist parties, but they do have a valid claim to a unique language and culture; Alberta doesn't.

Whether the separation referendum succeeds or not, Smith is working to change Alberta into her very own American State. She has many of the same asinine concepts as the separatists, she just has power to enact them & uses her soapboxes to sell them.

They have been gaslit by 60+ years of Conservative grievance politics. For political gain Conservatives have blamed federal govts & Liberals for every difficulty in AB. Even issues that are provincial responsibility.

I tried to get on to make the point that the Conservatives have played grievance politics for years to the point that myth is now reality. The separatists are the result. No ability to have a logical discussion.
