Billionaires are NEVER altruistic or benevolent. That's among the many, many reasons we shouldn't have any, ever.
Washpost foreign correspondents plead with Bezos to keep the overseas bureaus alive.

And that is why your average lib poster is mad beyond belief; their whole structure relies on this not being the case. THEY were supposed to be the clever, reasonable ones and you were supposed to be a too-online hysteric who "just doesn't get it".
All the anti-war and anti-occupation protestors were right. All the far leftists were right. All the “woke scolds” and your friend who’s “too woke” were right. They were somehow even more right than they may have realized at the time. But really, it was always obvious they were right.

Genuinely everything about the Andy Burnham will/won't/can/can't run for MP is incredibly funny and revealing

Maybe the first time in actual US history where a 2nd Amendment's "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State" is actually needed here.

This guy is such a lowlife disappointment- I used to genuinely like his writing as baby's first critique of capitalism. Still own a few of them. Just such an a-grade whiny loser now, mf'er fell off.
Matt Taibbi criticizes the ICE protests in Minneapolis, and says Martin Luther King Jr. would not have approved of them.

Taibbi claims MLK would not support "guilt because of racial identity" or "bringing religion into it".

Just ONE MORE Starmer opinion piece in the S*n about how Labour will dehumanise forrins should do the job!
24% of people who voted Labour at the last general election now plan to
vote Green or Lib Dem.

0% of those who voted Reform at the last election now plan to vote Labour.

We need to seriously explore a social media ban for the over-60s; they're just no longer capable of critical analysis and it's clearly accelerating their decline.

There is going to come a time in your life when you are chatting with a guy, at a barbecue or something, a new coworker maybe, a dad at school drop off, and he tells you he used to be in ICE. You’re going to need to spit on that guy
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."

Come on now. Is this that rock hard Starmer I'm promised?

What will Keir "putting you on notice" Starmer do, exactly, to 'match' the Trump sound and fury?

54% of people are in favour of decriminalising cannabis in the UK? And that's without any push from government to make a case for it?

The reason Starmer goes SOFT ON DRUGS is because that's a tabloid headline his advisers are *terrified* of. Because (partial) legalisation requires a backbone.

The reason you KNOW that this isn't about protecting the children, but about controlling access to social media in a way that can easily be expanded to adults is because Jimmy Boy here has disabled replies like the little coward heel he is
Welcome the positive signs coming from Government on this.

Young people should be protected from the clear harms social media pose. Industry has had long enough to get its house in order, and the Online Safety Act doesn’t go far enough.
Many Labour MPs back an Australian led ban on social media for under 16s.

The UK Government should give it full consideration.

The "Chagos Deal" is, in fact, just neocolonialism with a hat on; the important bit - the military base at Diego Garcia that allows the US (and UK) to extend its military hegemony far into the Indian Ocean is still there.
