Taken together, the permanent extension would add approximately $350 billion to the budget deficit for that time period.

JPL is responsible for, or contributes to, our entire non-manned space program. There’s always something that can be trimmed around the edges, but cutting 25% of these uniquely skilled scientists and engineers means THE END of US scientific space programs.

This is after Republicans voted to slash Medicaid and ACA subsidies in exchange for the largest transfer of wealth from working people to the ultra-wealthy in American history.
