I welcome the decision of the Council on our proposal to continue the immobilisation of Russian Sovereign Assets.

We are sending a strong signal to Russia that as long as this brutal war of aggression continues, Russia’s costs will continue to rise.

Pete Buttigieg on Indiana’s Redistricting:

“You know, a big part of how Trumpism works is to make you feel totally disempowered — to make him feel inevitable — and yet the clear takeaway from this is he is not unstoppable & you are not without power—”

A majority of Indiana Senate Republicans stood together to reject Trump’s mob-boss politics.

There is more power in standing up to a corrupt, unpopular administration rather than playing its game.

Law firms, universities, foundations, and media companies should take note.

Brilliant little trap here from Ursula.
This led Ursula von der Leyen to come up with a bold proposal: to channel the immobilised Russian assets into a zero-interest reparations loan to Ukraine. The assets are now mature and therefore liquid and fungible.

Kyiv would only repay the loan if Moscow paid for war reparations.

My message to Republicans in Indiana who stood up to the bullying, harassing, and swatting orchestrated by Trump and his minions, and voted against redistricting - welcome to the resistance...

KyivPost: Right after Trump said “Ukraine has no cards”, Ukraine’s biggest drone attack of the war successfully hit five Russian energy production facilities, 4 airfields, caused Moscow to enter a general warning for all Moscow residents to find a shelter, and shut down all 4 Moscow airfields.

Maybe, just maybe, some Republican elected officials around the country are getting tired of being threatened by a nearly 80 year old corrupt mob boss with a 36% approval rating who is increasingly unhinged and might actually start to grow spines. One can always hope.

Their closing message to Indiana: change your maps to artificially benefit the President's political party or 'roads will not be paved' as punishment.

They are openly saying this.

Who would want to live in a country that works like that?

Medicare for all, paid leave, universal childcare.

Busting up big corporations and tackling Wall Street’s greed.

Getting big money out of politics.

Supporting unions and fighting for higher wages.

If Dems want to win back working people, this is the agenda they must support.

If Indiana legislators hold firm on their conscience today, it will among other things be a much-needed rejection of the idea that you can get your way on policy through bullying, intimidation, and threats.

100%

If one thinks about “The “
Republicans” as just “The Business Party” it clarifies things.

How terrifying would a business-only party be for running a country?

You’re currently finding out.
Cities, especially bigger cities should have mayors who actually lean more towards socially conscious philosophical principles.
The myth that conservatives run things well has been disproven time and again and citizens always suffer as a result.
Stop electing republicans.
They can’t be trusted.

It doesn’t matter if 🇺🇸America’s F35 jets are better in some ways than the 🇸🇪Swedish Gripen fighters.
🇨🇦Canada should not be procuring arms from a now hostile neofascist state, nor should we be chasing after greater and greater military integration with it.

Trump and his regime are trying to morph our country into a hybrid version of Russia and North Korea a little more each day.

We won't allow it.

So, they better have a different plan.
