tbf I think they have started having those conversations; they’ve already gutted the midfield and they’re rebuilding the plane as it’s flying. Gotta keep up the strong signings in the offseason though; drive competition so players are fighting for their starting spots come next spring.

Vignola is one of the players that I fell in love with the quickest at Angel City, and I’ll miss her. However, I think this is the exact kind of midfield pickup ACFC needs to achieve their desired style of play.

#NWSL NEWS: The Portland Thorns have traded midfielder + Japan international Hina Sugita to Angel City in exchange for defender MA Vignola plus $600K in the 2nd biggest intra-league deal to date.

The transfer window closed but intra-league trades can still happen through the Oct. 9 roster freeze.

Despite the departures and injuries, ACFC holds on to a point at home against one of the NWSL's top dogs. It wasn't pretty the whole time, but Angel City held their own. Meaningful change takes time and the team stays committed to the process.
