🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.

Indeed, today's argument could be framed in at least some respects as the Court having to face (and stretch existing doctrinal understandings to account for) the consequences of its own incoherent jurisprudence.

The difference between Zohran Mamdani and Chuck Schumer talking about affordability is that it isn’t part of Mamdani’s job to be a check on the power of the President of the United States.

Mamdani doesn’t have the constitutional power to affect Trump’s agenda the way Schumer does.

One of my fave political stories ever: when Maine’s GOP then-Gov LePage thought that not signing bills by deadline meant they’d die.

So he ignored all these Dem bills, thinking it’d kill them.

But in Maine, if Gov just does nothing (rather than veto), a bill becomes law.

So they all became law.

Russia loves Trump’s message on Greenland, as Putin has openly said. It is worth asking whether this was a Russian idea. It certainly divides and could destroy NATO, and it distracts from Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

i think there’s a non-zero chance that VIad was in 45’s DMs for 4 years saying “you have to take Greenland” and then in his DM’s between 2020 and 2024 with the same message, and now he’s in 47’s DMs saying it every day.

Virginia's legislative session only started yesterday, and it was a very big day.

The House already passed four constitutional amendments on Day 1:
—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

Next: Senate.
